Baltic Regional Investment Economic Forum BRIEF’20

The central topic of BRIEF’20 is “Reorganization of the global value chains in the world as a window of opportunities for Russia: new investment and export niches”. It is planned that the Governor of Leningrad Region will participate in the plenary public-talk.

The program features presentations by the speakers of the federal and regional levels:  Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation — V.Osmakov, Director for Economic Policy, National Research University Higher School of Economics — Y. Simachev, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, New Economic School — M.Bouev, Chairman of the Board at the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce and Head of Moscow Office of Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry M.Schepp, President for Affiliates in Russia and Belarus, Philip Morris International — A. Ram Mohan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, CEO of United Shipbuilding Corporation A. Rakhmanov and other.

All the discussions will be held in the format of public-talks. The experience of interaction between the authorities and business in the region, much-needed measures of support, and new investment projects will be discussed at the practice-oriented session “Regional fragments of the value chains in Leningrad Region. Successful cases of localization”. At the session “Export in new realities”, it is planned to discuss trends in the international economic activity, opportunities for exporting companies, related to the changes in the value chains at the global and regional levels, and new export niches.
